10.00 – 11.00: Anti-Ageing – Turn back the clocks
Tom Fox
To truly come to grips with the process of ageing, we have to look at the ‘blue zones’ – places such as Okinawa and Sardinia where people live measurably longer than in the rest of the world. It appears a healthy diet and physical activity are key – but what kinds of food, eating habits and physical exercise actually improve longevity? Can we in the West ever hope to turn back the clocks on our lives? Or is it high time we concentrate on ‘putting more life into our years, than years into our lives?’ Clinical psycho-neuro-immunology may offer some surprising answers.
About Tom Fox

Tom Fox is heilpraktiker (German health professional) and researcher in the field of exercise and sports. He is a Clinical PNI Therapist and studied for the European Master of Science in clinical PNI at the University of Girona.
He also teaches exercise science, nutrition physiology and clinical PNI, including as a lecturer at the Natura Foundation.

11.30 – 12.30: Age Reversal in the Biohacking Era: How Geeks Bring Functional Anti-Ageing to the Mainstream
Miguel Toribio-Mateas
Steve Jobs, late Apple CEO predicted that “the biggest innovations of the 21st century will be at the intersection of biology and technology,” and announced that “A new era is beginning.”
“Biohacking” is a buzzword only used by “geeks” in non-institutional science and technology development circles until very recently. It referred to applying the hacker ethic of sharing, community and collaboration to biology, and it entailed anything from at-home gene sequencing, to DIY fitting of magnetic implants to body parts.
But thanks to the global reach of the internet, biohacking has made it to the mainstream, and bloggers around the world employ the term to refer to managing one’s own biology using a combination of medical, nutritional techniques, as well as the use of devices for recording biometric data with a particular focus on age reversal.
Anti-Ageing Expert Miguel Toribio-Mateas will help you understand how to apply biohacking to your clinical work so you can keep your increasingly savvy clients happy, supporting them to achieve the upgraded bodies, enhanced cognitive function and nutritional enlightenment they seek.

15.45- 16.45: Autism: a multi spectrum disorder
Susan Downs
Autism is the final common pathway of many different metabolic disorders. The components of this final pathway include mitochondrial damage, inflammation, immune dsyregulation, oxidative stress, intestinal permeability and in many cases neruoinflammation and microglial activation. These pathways are all interconnected and are affected by environmental stressors. The rates of autism are increasing. In the US, it has risen from 1 in 2500 in 1970 to 1 in 88 today. In South Korea, autism is estimated to occur in 1 out of 38. Could the autistic be the canaries in the coal-mine indicating a that the environmental stressors are suppasing the body’s coping ability? These pathways and approaches to treatment will be discussed.
